Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is an award-winning debt-counselling charity with a network of centres based in churches around the UK. It works to release people from the pressure of debt through a combination of advice, financial education, budgeting and insolvency services. The Southend-on-Sea Centre, based in the Offices of Shoebury & Thorpe Bay Baptist Church, has helped many local people become debt free.
Debt Coaches at Southend-on-Sea Debt Centre are Richard Leadley - Debt Centre Manager, David Duell - Debt Coach and Jenny Martin - Debt Coach.
The service is available to anyone and is completely free. CAP seeks to ensure that nobody receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, nationality, religion, age, gender, marital status, sexual preference or disability.
